A well-placed 4-panel system will produce about $200/year of electricity in the midwest. After the Federal tax credit, that's about a 6-year payoff (or less).  After that, your system continues to save you hundreds of dollars per year for decades to come. Use our PV-Watts powered app to compute your savings based on your exact location.

Payback? Paid back.

Safety is Key.

All our electrical parts are listed by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (e.g. UL, ETL) and meet the National Electric Code.
Safe to use inside and outside your home.

While we can put our set of soalr panels on your roof in 20 minutes, you need to plan on two hours for your first time around. Using our template means you don't need a tape measure. Just hold the template on the roof and ask your significant other if they like your placement.  Then use it to locate the mounts.

Does the kit work with Net Metering?

Net meeting is an arrangement that electricity providers make with their customers where you, the customer, sells them excess electricity made during the day for the same price you normally buy it.  In my case, when I use energy I buy it for 18 cents per kWh and sell it for 18 cents per kWh.  Without batteries in a house, net metering is the only way to get to a zero electrical bill.

Just plug it in.

The kit comes with a 25 ft cord. Once the kit is installed on go ahead and plug directly into a dedicated outlet. The power back feeds directly into your house and offsets your energy use.

Shade

Solar panels need sun to work.  Don’t worry about some partial shade during a small portion of the day.  If half of the the panel is in deep shade, the panels shading diodes limit the power loss to the shaded half.

What's the difference between the "Starter Kit" and the "Expansion Kit"?

Both kits enable solar to power your house right out of the box.

The only difference between the two is that the "Starter Kit" has a power monitor included as well as a 25 ft cord extension.

The reason for this is that a single power monitor can monitor up to 30 microinverters. (15 kWh!)
